Though I have been making films for about three years now, I have a varied background that includes costume design and the study of law.
I grew up in East Texas but moved to Michigan in 1990 when I was 17 to study apparel and textiles in the College of Human Ecology at Michigan State University.
After working in Michigan as a Theatrical Costume Designer for a number of years, I moved to Aberdeen, Scotland in 1999 where I earned an LL.B in Scots Law and an LL.M in Commercial International Law.
I then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where, after being shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum, I turned my hobby of screenwriting into a profession and began to produce and direct films. I also spent a lot of time working in the London area where I produced two music videos and had a stage play written by me performed.
In June of 2008 I became part of the runners pool at BBC Scotland, a much sought after entry level position at the BBC. I had the opportunity to work on Eurovision Dance Competition Glasgow 2008 that was broadcast live all over Europe. I moved to Austin, Texas in May of 2009 where I have been making films ever since.
